International messages cost 7¢ each to send or receive. That includes text, picture messages, IM, and email. International texts are not included in Unlimited Messaging.

More information on making international calls with your Common Cents Mobile phone:

Make international calls the same way you would from any other phone. Dial 011 + the country code + the city code + the phone number. For countries like Canada, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and other countries marked with a "*" in the table, you don't have to dial 011 before the number.

International call minutes do not Round Down. International calls are charged at the international per-minute rate for the country you're calling plus your standard airtime rate.

Calls to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are included in Common Cents Mobile's standard airtime rates - there is no additional international charge.

To deactivate/reactivate international calling on your phone, call Customer Service at 1-877-477-1737.

  • How do I pay for ringtones, text messages, etc.?

    We'll deduct the cost of any features you use right from your balance. That goes for ringtones, downloadable games, text and picture messages, and other features.

  • How much does it cost?

    Each minute is 7¢ day or night. For more details, click here.

    Make sure you add at least $20 every 30 days to keep your service active, even if you have money in your balance. For more Refill options, click here.

  • Am I charged tax?

    Yes. Sales tax applies when adding money using a credit card. Similar to paying Sales Tax when you purchase a Refill Card at a retail location. No additional tax is charged for the purchase of minutes or Messaging Packs.

  • Is this plan right for me?

    Pay As You Go is a great choice if you want to control your spending without any big commitments.

    Go with Common Cents Mobile's Pay As You Go Plan if you're paying with cash, credit/debit, or PayPal and want:

    • 7¢ Minutes
    • Round Down™ Minutes
    • No Contracts

  • Can my balance ever expire?

    Unless you've selected one of our special Refill options like $15 Auto Refill or 1 Year of Service, you'll need to Refill at least $20 every 30 days to keep your service working, even if you have money in your balance.

    If you go 30 days without adding money, your account will be deactivated and you won't be able to make or receive calls on your phone. If you still don't add money for 30 days after that, you'll lose any money left in your account. If you don't add money for a total of 150 days from the last time you added money you will lose your phone number. But way before that ever happens, we'll remind you that it's time to add money.

  • What is e911?

    This per-line, monthly surcharge is generally imposed to fund state 911 emergency systems and emergency services, such as fire and rescue. Rates may vary by state, county, and city. And not all states have an e911 fund.

  • What are Messaging Packs?

    A Messaging Pack is a bunch of messages (text, pix, IM, or email) you can buy for one low price. Each Messaging Pack is good for 30 days.

  • How does it work?

    Add airtime to your account, and then talk all you want. When you run low, add some more. Just make sure to add at least $15 to keep your service working, even if you have money in your balance.

    No annual contracts, no big commitments. Simple as that.

  • How much do Data Packs cost?

    $1 per MB per day

    Each Data Pack lasts for 1 MB or 24 hours, whichever comes first. If you use up your MB before the end of 24 hours, you will be charged $1 for each additiona MB.

  • What happens if I use up all of the Megabytes (MBs) in my Daily Data Pass?

    You will be charged for any additional data you use. Additional MBs cost $1 each and expire 24 hours from the time of purchase.

  • Can I still use data on my phone if I don't opt-in to purchase the Data Pass?

    No. You will be blocked from accessing the internet from your phone. But you can opt-in at any time from your phone or here on the web.

  • How do I buy a Messaging Pack?

    There are a few different ways to buy a Messaging Pack:

    1. Each time you add money, we'll ask if you'd like to use the money you just added to buy a Messaging Pack.
    2. When you check your balance from your phone, you can buy a Messaging Pack from the "My Account" screen.
    3. You can also buy a Messaging Pack here on the web or on your phone by going to: Menu -> My Account.

    You pay for Messaging Packs with the money in your balance. So if you don't have enough in your balance to buy the Messaging Pack you want, you'll need to add money before you can buy your Messaging Pack.

  • Can I use the "Get 1 Year of Service" web exclusive on the Pay As You Go Plan?

    Sure. Just keep in mind that the "Get 1 Year of Service" web exclusive extends your service for one year, not your Messaging Pack. Messaging Packs will still expire 30 days from date of purchase.

  • How much does it cost?

  • How do I check my balance?

    You can check your account balance right from your phone. Just press and hold the up arrow on your phone's keypad. You can check your balance from your phone or on the Common Cents Mobile website for free.

  • Do I only Refill when my balance runs low?

    Unless you've selected one of our special Refill options like $15 Auto Refill or 1 Year of Service, you'll need to Refill at least $20 every 30 days to keep your service active... even if you have money in your balance.

  • How do I cancel my Data Pass?

    Since there are no long-term contracts, you're free to go whenever you want But keep in mind that you will lose any money left in your account if you cancel.

  • How do I buy a Data Pass?

    If you're not already opted-in to allow the automatic purchase of the Data Pass when you access the web through your phone, you can opt in on your phone when you select to use the web or in My Account under Add Services.

  • How do I pay for it?

    Refill to add money to your account. Do it right from your phone or here on the Web. Buy Refill cards at thousands of Walmart stores. Or, make it really easy by registering your credit/debit card or PayPal account.

  • What types of content count towards my Data Pass?

    Things like surfing the web and streaming music/video count toward your MB usage.
